My first lecture in Information Literacy

After a long and great holliday, now we are here back again to school. We are suppose to do our Foundation study. Whish is not to easy to complete, our first week had been too interesting because there are many new students in our class. After having fun during holiday and orientation day serious things have begun now. Here we will talk about information literacy. What is it all about ? what we have to learn from this subject? How to solve our information problem? So many interrogation mark.

Therefore, we can define "Information literacy" as " The adoption of appropriate information behaviour to identify through whatever channel or medium information well fitted to information need, leading to wise and ethical us of information in society" source Webber (2010).
   
From this definition we can say
that information literacy allow us to cope by giving us the skills to know when we need information and where to locate it effectively and efficiently. The ability to effectively locate, evaluate, organize, use, package, and present information effectively will become a normal part of life at work, workers must be able gather, synthesize, interpret and evaluate as well as at school or everywhere and in everyday life.
